Some weddings feel like they could only ever happen in one place.

Nicky and Shannon's wedding at the Tatong Tavern was exactly that.

Set amongst the rolling countryside they love, every part of the day reflected who they are. Nothing was overdone. Nothing felt staged. It was simply two people celebrating the life they've built together, surrounded by family, friends and plenty of country charm.

The dress code said it all.

Guests arrived wearing jeans, cowboy hats, boots and big belt buckles, instantly creating the relaxed atmosphere that Nicky and Shannon had imagined from the very beginning.

When it was time for the ceremony, Nicky made her entrance to Beautiful Crazy by Luke Combs. It was the perfect soundtrack as she walked towards the man waiting to marry her, with smiles appearing on every face.

The photographer also a keen horseperson, Charlotte Delosa was very much at home amongst the equine community.

A Love Built Beside Each Other

One of my favourite parts of every ceremony is finding the words that truly describe a couple.

For Nicky and Shannon, horses have always been much more than a hobby. They are part of who they are.

Both are experienced horse riders who understand the quiet partnership that exists between horse and rider. That lifelong connection became the inspiration for part of their ceremony.

I shared these words with their guests.

"As many of you know, a stubborn horse will walk behind you, an impatient horse will walk in front of you, but a noble companion will walk beside you. Such is the relationship Nicky and Shannon have fostered and built together. They have chosen to be that noble companion for each other."

There wasn't a more fitting way to describe the partnership they have created together.

Hay Bales Instead of a Signing Table

One of the joys of country weddings is embracing what feels authentic.

Rather than using a traditional signing table, Nicky and Shannon signed their marriage certificates on hay bales.

It was simple. It was fun.

It suited the setting perfectly and made for photographs that will always remind them of the day they became husband and wife.

Sometimes the best wedding styling isn't something that's hired for the day. It's the little details that naturally belong to the couple and the place they've chosen to celebrate.

The Perfect Country Celebration

Tatong Tavern provided the ideal backdrop for a relaxed country wedding. Friends gathered together, laughter carried across the venue and everyone settled into an afternoon that felt more like a family celebration than a formal event.

When a ceremony reflects the people standing in front of me, every word carries more meaning because it belongs to them.
