St Leonards Vineyard Wedding | Wedding Celebrant Rutherglen
A relaxed summer wedding at St Leonards Vineyard, Rutherglen

Some ceremonies are made for a big, warm summer's day, and Lauren and Lindsay's wedding at St Leonards Vineyard in early December 2025 was exactly that. With 80 guests gathered among the vines on one of the hottest days of the season, this was relaxed, easy-going celebration from start to finish - proof that a laid-back vibe and a stunning venue can carry a wedding day beautifully, heat and all.
St Leonards Vineyard, part of the Rutherglen wine region, is one of my favourite settings for exactly this kind of ceremony. The vines, the water views out over Lake Moodemere and the relaxed country elegance of the estate gave Lauren and Lindsay's day a natural, unfussy backdrop that matched their personalities perfectly.
With 80 of their family and friends there to celebrate, and warm December sun overhead, we kept the ceremony itself short, personal and full of the kind of easy humour that made it feel like Lauren and Lindsay, not a script. That's always the goal - a ceremony people remember for how it felt, not how formal it was.

Planning a Wedding at St Leonards Vineyard in Rutherglen?
If you're considering St Leonards for your own ceremony, a summer date here means embracing the heat as part of the day rather than fighting it - think shade for guests, a shorter ceremony length, and timing your vows around the cooler parts of the day if you can. I'd love to help you plan a ceremony here that feels just as relaxed and true to you as Lauren and Lindsay's did.
I'm Cheryl Warry, a full-time marriage celebrant based in Wangaratta, creating relaxed, personal ceremonies across North East Victoria including Rutherglen, Beechworth, Milawa, Bright and the High Country.
