As someone who genuinely loves skiing, I've discovered that combining two of my favourite things is pretty hard to beat. One moment I'm carving turns down the mountain, the next I'm standing in the snow announcing that you are married!

It's not your average wedding ceremony.

Falls Creek is one of Victoria's most spectacular places to say "I do."

Whether you've skied your whole life or simply love the romance of winter, there's something magical about exchanging vows while snowflakes drift around you and your guests are wrapped in scarves instead of sunscreen.

The chairlift becomes your wedding transport. The mountains become your backdrop.

Your wedding photos look like they've come straight out of Europe.

And yes, I can legally marry you in less time than it takes to ride the chairlift to the top of Falls Creek.

It's one of my favourite facts because it's completely true.

Why Having a Celebrant Who Skis Makes a Difference

Snow weddings work a little differently. Timing matters. Weather changes quickly.

Sometimes everyone arrives in snow boots. Sometimes we ski to the ceremony location.

Sometimes we're laughing because someone has taken an unexpected tumble in the powder before the ceremony even begins.

I understand the mountain because I'm there enjoying it too. I love skiing with my family so it's great to mix two of my favourite passions, marrying couples and spending time in the snow.

There's no worried look when someone suggests putting skis back on after the ceremony for photos.

I'm already clipping into mine.

Mt Buffalo Has Its Own Kind of Magic

Not every snow wedding needs ski lifts.

Mt Buffalo offers breathtaking granite tors, snow-covered landscapes and incredible lookouts that create unforgettable ceremony locations. Whether we're standing amongst the snow gums or looking across the valleys below, it feels wonderfully peaceful.

Every season has its own beauty. Winter simply adds a little extra sparkle.

The Ceremony Doesn't Need to Be Complicated

One of the things couples often assume is that a mountain wedding has to be a huge production.

It doesn't. Some of my favourite ceremonies have been beautifully simple.

A couple. Two witnesses. A handful of family.

Snow underfoot. A warm jacket. A great story.

That's all you really need.
